Uses of Lotemax
Lotemax is a prescription medicine used to treat eye inflammation and swelling (edema). It contains the active ingredient loteprednol etabonate, which works by relieving symptoms like pain, itching, swelling, and redness. Lotemax is a part of a group of drugs called ophthalmic steroids.
Lotemax Precautions and Warnings

Lotemax Direction of Use
Follow the directions below:
- Wash your hands first before using the medication.
- Shake the bottle well.
- Tilt your head back and create a small pocket in your lower eyelid.
- Apply one drop to your eye.
- Close your eye for about 1 to 2 minutes.
- Do the same process on your other eye.
Note: If you wear contact lenses, remove them before using this medication. Failure to follow this advice can cause eye infections.
