Alendronate is sold under the brand names Binosto and Fosamax. It treats a medical condition called osteoporosis triggered by either gonadal failure, use of steroids, or menopause.

Uses of Alendronate

Alendronate is administered when someone is at high risk of having a bone fracture exactly because of osteoporosis. Besides osteoporosis, this medicine also treats Paget’s disease.

Alendronate Precautions and Warnings
