Uses of Xarelto 

After a hip or knee surgery, a blood clot tends to develop during the healing process. To alleviate this condition, Xarelto is administered, especially for adults. It prevents blood from being coagulated. Xarelto is available under the generic name Rivaroxaban. 

Xarelto Precautions and Warnings 

Before administering this medicine, discuss with your doctor first if you have the following: 

• History of bleeding disorder
• High blood pressure
• History of stroke

You are prohibited from using this medicine if: 

• Allergic to Xarelto and its components
• Have severe kidney disease
• Under 18 years old

Xarelto Dosage 

This medicine is consumed right after a knee or hip surgery. The usual dose is 10 mg of Xarelto, to be consumed once daily. Do not stop taking this medicine unless there is advice from your doctor. Sometimes, your Xarelto treatment can take 1 month, only if you have a serious hip surgery or operation.
