Uses of Ventolin 

Use Ventolin to treat episodes of asthma attacks and symptoms of the said condition. This medicine is suitable for usage in children age 4 to 14 years old. Ventolin is usually given to adults who suffer from the chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and asthma. Its main ingredient is Salbutamol, which works by relaxing the airways of the lungs. It prevents narrowing of the passageway, expanding it and causing individuals to breathe easily. 

Ventolin is also available under the brand name Albuterol Inhalation. 

Ventolin Precautions and Warnings 

Do not use this medicine if you have the following: 

• Diabetes
• History of seizures
• Pregnant
• Breastfeeding 

If you are hypersensitive to this medicine and Salbutamol, avoid consuming it. 

Ventolin Dosage 

Since Ventolin is already considered a rescue medicine, it can be used directly in treating asthma attacks. In cases of coughing, wheezing, and difficulty breathing, you should use this medicine immediately. The usual dose is to use this medicine once a day, with 200 mcg of Ventolin. Always follow the instructions provided by your healthcare professional when using Ventolin.
