Known by its generic name Dulaglutide, Trulicity is another type of diabetes medicine used to control the levels of blood sugar. While it is proven effective, the patient also needs to partner it with the right diet and proper exercise. This way, the blood sugar level can be controlled and managed well. Other than the mentioned function, Trulicity also works by reducing someone’s’ chances of developing heart diseases.

Trulicity Precautions and Warnings 

To make sure that Trulicity is safe for you to consume, speak with your healthcare professional if you have the following:

• A disorder involving the stomach or the intestines
• GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease)
• Retinopathy
• Kidney problems
• Liver problems
• Used insulin before
• Vomiting
• Diarrhea

Trulicity Dosage 

Trulicity is administered by injecting it into the skin. The usual dose given or prescribed by the healthcare professional is only 0.75 mg solution of Trulicity. Administer this only once a week.

For dosage adjustment or increase, the dose can likely go to 1.5 mg of Trulicity. The maximum dose is 4.5 mg of Trulicity. Note that only your healthcare professional can give you the green light to increase your dosage. Do not adjust your daily dosage unless advised by the doctor to avoid overdose.
