Trifluoperazine is an antipsychotic medicine used in treating anxiety and schizophrenia. This medicine is utilized in providing medical relief to people who are suffering from the said mental conditions. 

Trifluoperazine is available under the brand names Stelazine, Eskazinyl, Eskazine, and Jatroneural. 

Trifluoperazine Precautions and Warnings 

Prior to using Trifluoperazine, discuss with your doctor if you have the following: 

• Brain tumour
• Heart disease
• High blood pressure
• Kidney disease
• Blockage in the digestive tract
• Breast cancer
• Glaucoma
• Seizures
• Enlarged prostate

If you have known hypersensitivity to this medicine and its ingredients, you are not allowed to consume it. 

Trifluoperazine Dosage 

The recommended dosage for treating anxiety: 

• 1 – 2 mg of Trifluoperazine to be consumed orally twice per day.
• The maximum dosage is 6 mg per day.
• The duration of the therapy is about 12 weeks.

The recommended dosage for treating schizophrenia: 

• 2 mg of Trifluoperazine to be consumed orally twice per day.
• The maximum dosage is 40 mg per day.
