Uses of Spiriva 

Spiriva is administered in preventing bronchospasm in adults who are suffering from COPD or best known as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, which also involves emphysema and bronchitis. The same medicine is a form of bronchodilator, which works by relaxing the muscle airways to the lungs, as well as increasing the flow of air going to the organ. 

Spiriva’s generic name is Tiotropium Inhalation. 

Spiriva Precautions and Warnings 

Tell your healthcare professional if you have the following before using this medicine: 

• Kidney disease
• Allergy to milk
• Enlarged prostate
• Narrow-angle glaucoma

Any form of hypersensitivity can be fatal. If you are allergic to Spiriva and its main ingredients, you should avoid using it. 

Spiriva Dosage 

• Consume 18 mcg of capsule orally once per day
• For inhalation, take 5 mcg of Spiriva orally once per day
