Uses of Nevanac 

After cataract surgery, the eyes experience pain and swelling. To reduce these conditions, Nevanac is administered, which serves as an inflammatory drug for those who have just had a certain surgery. It is marketed under the generic name Nepafenac. 

Nevanac can also be used in treating other eye-related conditions. However, excessive usage of this solution can cause other health complications. 

Besides Nevanac, Nepafenac is also available under the brand names Ilevro and Amnac. 

Nevanac Precautions and Warnings 

Before using this medicine, make sure that you are NOT allergic to it and its ingredient Nepafenac. Other than that, if you are allergic to any eye drop, you will be given another form of medicine to prevent eye inflammation. 

If you are prescribed this medicine, take off your contact lenses first. In applying, ensure that you do not contaminate the dropper to avoid eye infection. If this happens, you will have to experience a severe eye problem. 

Nevanac Dosage 

In using this ophthalmic suspension, you must do it in accordance with the instructions of the doctor. A prescription label is also available for you to follow. The maximum duration of using this solution is only 14 days, so only use it as directed by the healthcare professional. 

Before applying the drops, make sure that you clean your hands first. Shake the bottle well before using it. During the application, only apply a small drop to the eyes. Close your eyes for at least 2 minutes after the drop.
