If you are suffering from a medical condition called erectile dysfunction, Levitra is the right medicine for you. It is marketed under the generic name Vardenafil. This medicine functions by expanding the blood vessels located in the penis, making it remain active during intercourse. Although a good medicine for this part of sexual activity, the medicine will not work unless there is stimulation during the activity. 

Besides Levitra, Vardenafil is available under the brand name Staxyn. 

Levitra Precautions and Warnings 

You will not be prescribed this medication if you have had recent heart surgery. Additionally, your doctor will have to reassess you first before providing this drug if you have: 

• History of heart attacks
• Hypertension
• Hypotension
• Stomach ulcer
• Liver disease
• Kidney disease
• Hearing problems
• Penis deformation

Levitra Dosage 

The required dosage for this medicine is only 10 mg, which should be consumed an hour before sexual activity. Dosage adjustment is possible, but it shouldn’t exceed 20 mg. For elderly people, since they are the most vulnerable, their dosage is limited only to 5 mg.
