Uses of Entresto 

Consisting of Valsartan and Sacubitril, which is also marketed under the same generic names, Entresto refers to a kind of medication that helps in lowering the blood pressure, keeping it on a normal level and preventing hypertension to occur. This medicine is basically a blood pressure treatment. 

With Sacubitril as the main functioning drug that lowers blood pressure, the Valsartan, on the other hand, prevents the blood vessels from narrowing and improves the flow of the blood. This medicine is suitable for adults who have long-term heart failure. It is also administered to children age 1-year-old. 

Entresto Precautions and Warnings 

If you happened to be pregnant, avoid taking this medicine. Also, if you are currently taking this medicine and you become pregnant, stop using it as it can cause serious effects to your unborn baby. Furthermore, if you are allergic to Entresto, avoid consuming it as it can be fatal to you. Any form of hypersensitivity to this medicine, as well as its ingredients, shouldn’t be administered to you. 

Entresto Dosage 

Take this medicine at least twice a day. The initial dose requirement is 49/51 mg of Entresto to be consumed orally two times daily. 

For maintenance dosage, the same frequency should be followed, such as taking it twice daily. After two to four weeks of treatment, the dosage will be doubled.
